In planning for the past 6 months this product is finally under construstion and due to be released mid January 2006. The plug for the model is almost completed and the next stage of production is mould construction. We envisage mould construction by mid December 2005.

Features of new lid

The new Ford sports bar lid looks the same as the normal flat Ford lid except that two fitted pannels are afixed to the sides of the bucket. These pannels fit to the bucket snug around the sports bar. There will be no requirment to remove the bars to fit the lid.

The centre piece of the lid will be full opening in order to maintain full accessibility to the rear tub. The centre piece will be full opening and hinged utilising the same quick release hinge system as the existing lids use. The lid, in every other way, will look as the normal flat lid. Both the centre piece and the pannels will fit snug over the tub just as they currently do. The appearance will be that the factory sports bar simply extends through the lid.

A relative new product to the market, with the strength of steel, will be used to reinforce the structure of the lid. These lids will be available in both gel coat and colour coded 2-pac finish.
